Tim Barr | Business Development Professional

Tim Barr is a Business Development professional with over 20 years of experience in A/E/C, Tim focuses on building relationships that last, developing brand awareness, and driving the strategy that leads to results. A Dean's List graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder's LEEDS School of Business, Tim has been responsible for the development of client relationships, internal marketing process, and the strategic positioning of several architectural and construction firms through his career. Tim was the 2016 SMPS Colorado “Business Developer of the Year” award winner, was honored by San Diego Metropolitan Magazine in the annual “40 Under 40” honor roll in 2007 and has spoken at many professional events and conferences.

     
 

Jennifer Pye | Manager Partner, Hawkins-Pye Consulting Group

Jennifer Pye is Founder and Managing Partner of Hawkins-Pye Consulting Group, Inc. She has spent the past 19+ years focused on improving client acquisition and brand recognition of firms in a variety of industries. Jennifer specializes in business and marketing planning, training and coaching, restructuring marketing departments, Brand Strategy and Social Media Strategy.  Her goal is to empower firms to implement the marketing strategies needed for success. She has been an active member of the Society of Marketing Professional Services Dallas, Texas and Colorado Chapters since 1999 and served on both the SMPS Education Committee and the Colorado Chapter Annual Awards Committee.  She has also spoken at both National and Regional Conferences.  She holds Bachelor of Arts in Language and Communications with a minor in Secondary Education from Iowa State University.

     
 

Josh Roberts | Vice President, Marketing Evolutions, Inc.

Josh Roberts is Vice President of Marketing Evolutions, Inc. He is a nationally-recognized speaking coach, professional speaker, and creative strategist who has worked with executives and project teams in the construction, architecture, engineering and technology industries. Working in A/E/C since 2005, Josh has won Regional and National Marketing Excellence Awards, served on the SMPS Colorado Board for ten years, and served as and Leadership Committee Chairman and Director at Large. Steve Walker | President, SR Walker & Asociates, Inc.

Steve is the president of SR Walker and Associates, Inc., a professional service consulting firm, founded in 2005, providing strategic planning, marketing and management consulting, training and coaching services. SRWA has supported a diverse mix of over 50 clients including Architecture and Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) firms, public agencies and non-profit organizations ranging from a four-person Public Involvement consultant to several Engineering News Record top 20 international A/E firms; from a one-person start-up minority civil designer to one of the world’s largest heavy civil construction companies.

     
 

Ashley Wallis | Marketing & Communications Manager, The Weitz Company

Ashley Wallis, Marketing & Communications Manager for The Weitz Company, has over 10 years of experience in Marketing and has been a part of the A/E/C industry for the last 6 years. She has an Associates in IT Communication and Web Design and graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s in Marketing. She was heavily involved in entertainment marketing before her immersion into the world of construction, and thus brings a unique graphical perspective on qualification and proposal design. Ashley joined SMPS in 2014 and enjoys helping fellow members with design ideas and one-on-one training in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
